I do not have an email address – how can I get my certificate translated?

You can request a Quote from us by fax, post, or speak us at our offices. Please have your documents ready for quoting and we can send our Quote to you in the same way.

How do I pay for the Certificate Translation?

You can pay by credit card (preferred method), Paypal, cheque or BACs (direct debit). Please note that we do not accept payment in cash.

Why do you need to see my documents before issuing a Quote to me?

We need to assess the subject, technicality and wordcount of each document you submit for translation and will issue a Quote accordingly. Please ensure that you send all your documents to us by e-mail, fax, post or drop them off at our offices in person.

How is my Certificate Translation delivered?

We will supply you with a full translation, a PDF sign-off copy, and one sealed hard copy of the translation, together with SanTranslate’s Declaration and Seal, ready for official use. We normally send our completed Certificate Translations by First Class Recorded Delivery.

Why do you charge for P&P?

We charge P&P for each Certificate Translation copy as it includes separate binding of each document with our Company Seal.

Can I pick up my translation from your Office?

Yes, you are more than welcome to pick up your completed translation from our offices. You will be notified by e-mail/SMS/phone once your translation is ready for collection. If you choose this method, there will be no P&P charge.

Do you need to use the original document?

No, please do not send the original document. We need a clear duplicated copy to carry out the Certificate Translation. You can send this to us via our [GET QUOTE form], by email or fax. Alternatively you can drop off a copy or make a photocopy of the original at our offices.

My certificate is not clear, what shall I do?

Any unclear copies will interfere with the accuracy of the translation. If any text in your document is too unclear to be resolved, we will have to declare any illegible text on the Declaration page and in the translation itself. This may affect your application when submitted to the relevant bodies, such as the HR Department for job applications, the UK Home Office or Immigration Department.

Why do I need Certification?

Most institutions, government bodies and formal offices state that translations must be a Certified Translation or Sworn Translation in order to be considered in your application. We enclose a Declaration with our translation to confirm that it is a true and accurate copy of the document(s) that you have submitted to us. This is our guarantee that the office you are applying to can return to us in case of query about your application.

I have several documents that need translating – how many Certified Translations do I need?

If all your documents are to be kept together and submitted in one batch, we can merge the documents as a single Certificate Translation and bind them together. Once the final translation has been bound it cannot be separated without breaking the seal.

If you have documents that need to be used for different applications, such as two individual visa applications, you would need separate Certificate Translations.

Can I have my documents translated together but bound separately?

Yes, you can have all your documents translated at the same time and bound separately. Each separate binding will be subject to a separate Certificate Translation charge.

Can I obtain an extra sealed copy of my translation?

Each duplicate hard copy of your Certificate Translation is charged at £20 + P&P per copy. (Subject to VAT charge for UK & EU clients)

My certificate has more than 300 words, what shall I do?

Our translation rates are based on the word count in the original document. If your document has more than 300 words we will add the cost of the extra wordcount at our standard translation rate to our Quote.

How long does it take to deliver?

Our standard turnaround time is a maximum of 5 – 7 working days.

I need my translations more quickly than this – does an Urgency Charge apply?

Depending on circumstances, we will occasionally deliver by DHL or ask that you collect from our offices to speed up the process. We advise that you sign off the PDF copy to ensure that everything is correct before binding. Any errors found in the PDF copy will be rectified Free of Charge. However, once the document has been sealed and bound, we reserve the right to add a surcharge if you require any further changes.

I have translated the documents myself – can I get them certified?

We cannot certify any translations that have not been carried out by SanTranslate.

SanTranslate has translated my documents in the past – can I get them certified?

We can certify your documents if you only need duplicate hard copies. You will only have to pay for the sealing and binding at £20 + P&P per copy. (Subject to VAT charge for UK & EU clients).

I have changed my requirements – how much is your 'Certification Only' charge? Can you provide a hard copy of my translation with company stamp on letterheaded paper free of charge?

If you have previously requested ‘Translation only’ but now want your document to be certified, then we can do this at £20 + P&P per copy. (Subject to VAT charge for UK & EU clients).

Why do I have to sign-off the PDF copy?

We deliver a PDF copy for your sign-off because we need you to check and confirm details such as names and dates. For example, many languages may have different spellings for names, especially when we are translating from or into an Asian or Middle Eastern language. Please check the PDF copy carefully in order to minimise mistakes. Once we have received your confirmation we can proceed with the binding of the final documents.

I do not have an email address – how can I sign-off the translation?

If you do not have an email address we can fax or post the sign-off copy to you and you can telephone us if there is anything that needs correcting.

Alternatively, you can sign-off the translation upon collection of the final copy at our offices. This method is useful if you would like to speed up the translation process.

What does my sealed Certificate Translation package include?

Your final Certificate Translation includes a Declaration page with signature on letterheaded paper, followed by the translation and a duplicate of the original document. They are all bound and sealed with wax and ribbon.

Why are there different prices for different languages? Is there a set price for every certificate?

Our price for translation for each language varies so our Certificate Translation rates reflect this. Generally our package starts from £60 + VAT.

Why do I have to wait for payment to clear before you start the translation?

As part of our company policy for Certificate Translation we need to secure payments to ensure timely work and prompt delivery.
